  2. How can you possibly violate the ‘human rights’ of prisoners? By definition, ‘prisoners’, especially ax murderers, aren’t human. Perhaps Britain should do what the US is doing with terrorists: keep them out of the country. We have Club Gitmo. I’m sure Britain still has a few unused islands around. It’s not as though Britain doesn’t have experience in transporting prisoners. But I don’t think the Australians would agree to doing that again. I’ve got it! I think Britain still owns Diego Garcia. Could try the Falklands–load ‘em up with all your prisoners and then let Argentina have ‘em.

Needless to say, I’m appalled. Voting is one of the basic duties of a law-abiding citizen, not a convicted criminal. But judges are good friends with criminals–how many times have they seen the same ones come through the courtroom’s revolving door? And judges sometimes become politicians who want what? Votes?

    Now this makes sense.

  3. As the number of felons increases they will become a political force to be reckoned with. If they can get enough votes to elect “special judges with a certain leanings” jails will become obsolete and heaven help the rest of us.
