  1. MESMERIZED !!!!  Doesn’t even begin to cover it Drew.

    What a winner!  I LOVE this stuff.  Love planes and especially older ones.
    Imagine the work and then having the confidence in yourself to go up in what you built.
    He sure doesn’t look 81.  I guess this keeps him young.  WOW.

  3. My most favorite Plane of WW2. And I beleive the type that shot down admiral Yammamoto too.That is waaay to cool.

  4. I love the split tailed planes.. The P-38 Lightnings, the P-61 Black Widow, The DH100 Vampire. I don’t know why, but they have all been perennial favorites.

    I would kill to have an original.. I would even take flying lessons!

  5. Sorry, but while I love vintage WWII and Capitalism, you might want to save the metal and money. At the rate things are degenerating, we might need them for something more important than a glorified private museum piece.

  6. Well T., for them who can still afford it and willing to put time and hard work into their passion, I say bravo. Anyway, at the age of 80 I think he stands a fair chance of being gone before things implode.
    Here’s three cheers and three cheers more for private museum pieces, glorified or not.
