Absolutely. Wear the uniform, complete with sidearm/fighting knife/etc. If someone abuses you… well you *are* allowed to defend yourself from attackers, are you not?
Personally if I was there I would go out proud of my uniform but would have a bunch of mates in civvies to help out with the assholes, about 2 should be enough.
Love to see our Fighting Men and Women in Uniform.
It should become known that anyone showing disrespect to the Uniform
will receive a merciless beatdown.
SwedeBoy
When I was stationed at RAF Alconbury/Molesworth, I lived in base housing at Wittering. My son went to the village school until we retired and came back to the US in spring of 94. I loved that village, and Peterborough! Shame about what’s happened to GB since we left. Authorise the troops to fix the problem. These fools don’t see how the only reason they can be disrespectful TO the troops IS the troops. Ah, isn’t Labour a wonderful governance?
Oh, and GOF? No you are NOT allowed to defend yourself in England. YOU are in more trouble than they are for attacking you in the first place. Swedeboy, I love your attitude. Indeed, that is precisely what SHOULD happen. Will it? Not until the voters wake up.
Again, something is just plain wrong here.
Even if someone believes the war in Iraq and Afghanistan are totally wrong (just a supposition for this - don’t shoot at me), showing disrespect for uniformed military who do so much more than what appears in the headlines is just plain wrong.
