  1. Skipper as ever an excellent, thought provoking post. People laughed at corporal Hitler the funny little man with the silly moustache in the 30’s. Ten years later it was a different story and no one was laughing. Obviously Iran isn’t an economic giant the way Germany was in the late 30’s but they do have a large, young, aggressive population. On top of that they will soon have the A bomb, something Adolf never quite managed.

In Britain the MSM are dismissive of George W Bush. Often describing him in unflattering terms as a dimwit and a cowboy. However yesterday GWB hit the nail on the head when he described the tyranny of Islamic fascism. The British government are too cowardly admit the real enemy but at least George gets it. In some ways it mirrors the way the British press belittled Ronald Reagan, but when you look back the Gipper was spot on. He knew how to get the Ruskies to cry uncle and it worked. President Bush may have his faults but I would rather have someone in the Whitehouse who will call a spade a spade than have some cowardly muslim appeasers in charge.

I believe war is coming and my only wish is it comes sooner rather than later because if we postpone it too long I fear most of the West (ie Europe) will roll over and expect Uncle Sam to bail them out (again).

  2. Unfortunately, the America that Gimson describes isn’t *entirely* here anymore.  It’s only our ideals, and far too few still live up to it.  Not that those who live up to it are a minority, of course, but IMO 99.999999% of the people should live up to it.
