Sisters cannot inherit ,European Court rules

 

1. I’m sure someone smarter than me can answer this.  How about each sister draw up a sale agreement where one sister sells the other sister her half of the house for $1.  Upon death, file it quickly and the living sister owns the entire house.  Or...both sisters form a corporation and sell the house to the corporation for $1...and they...as officers of the corporation, get to use corporate assets.  What are the holes in these plans?

2. Why can’t they be sisters AND lesbians? Is incestuous lesbianism against the law over there?
   Does the law say when you have to declare your lesbianish alignments? If not, then wait until one sister dies ... then have the courts try and prove that they weren’t!

   I’m kind of getting the idea that these two old ladies are spinsters, never having married? There’s your sapphic evidence right there. Case closed.

3. Yes, Drew, neat and tidy - but perhaps these two maiden women actually have values and morals and don’t want to go down the road that such an admission would get them - also I do believe that they are attempting to make the ‘equal, but a little more equal(i.e. special) point that the activist BLT&G communities have foisted upon the World - it is the one little point that I do side with the islam on - however I do think death is a bit extreme solution.

   The point being - which all these damn governments are overlooking - someone paid taxes when they bought the land (sales tax), property tax every dang year they held ownership of the land, paid taxes when they built the house and again every year there after - and finally paid taxes on the income they earned every year - so why the heck must someone indicated on a will - pay an exorbitant (40%) tax again, simply because they inherit the property.

   Such a shame - that two old women have to waste the little time and money they have left, simply to keep the home they have spent their lives in - how caring, tolerant and just is that for the fiberals to defend and explain away.

4. Sdkar. Nice idea, but the Inland Revenue wont allow it. One sister could “gift” the estate to the other but if she kicks the bucket before seven years have elapsed then the tax man will come calling. By the way, the OECD has recently published data showing Britons pay on average 42% of their income in tax. The socialists dispute this (of course). Not sure about the corporation idea. It would be worth contacting a tax accountant, but seeing as how this has dragged on for 30yrs I imagine they have examined all the possible loopholes.

   Wardmama the socialists would argue they need the tax to fund all the hospitals and schools. The truth is we have probably 4 million people who are “not economically active” unemployed to everyone else. Here is one example I dealt with yesterday. A (bogus) asylum seeker from a piss pot country in the middle east. He is getting nearly $400 a week in unemployment and “carers allowance” to look after his “sick wife” who it transpires is also collecting a dole check but has a job on the side. Multiply that by millions and you see why Britain is in such a mess.

Oh I know what you are saying LyndonB - we have the same garbage here - and it is disgusting - to pay for the shammers, scammers and illegals and then made to feel guilty, heartless, un-Christian (like any of these fiberals/socialists even know what Christianity is) and selfish - when we are really willing to pay our fair share - just not for those who don’t deserve it. . .

   And the inheritance tax is just such a scam - as I said taxes are paid in, out and up and down - why this one - other than to scam more money from the working, earning, investing people to give to the leeches of society.

   Even the bible says ‘For even when we were with you, we used to give you this order; if anyone will not work, neither let him eat. For we hear that some among you are leading an undisciplined life, doing no work at all, but acting like busybodies.’ 2 Thessalonians 3:10-11

   Talk about using ‘religious’ guilt to force people to do exactly the opposite of what the Bible ‘orders’. . .

6. Some US legislator a few years back said the inheritance tax should be renamed “Tax on widows and orphans”, cos that’s who gets stuck with the bill. One of the few things to come out of Congress that I have actually agreed with 100%.
