1. And, in other shocking and completely un-anticipated developments, Arlen Specter is a Democrat, President Obama is raising taxes and spending and Yassar Arafat is still dead.

   Oh, yes, the Palestinians are enraged, too.

2. Got that right Archie. Still, I have to do my part to get the word out. This is the kind of thing, the kind of attitude, that is destroying the nation. And it has to be fought against, every hour of every day.

   And I’m actually HAPPY that the Palestinians are enraged. Mwa. Haha. Ha. Do they have any special issue today, or is it just their regular daily rage?

5. It’s an old principle of the law that the State is forbidden to use administrative means to accomplish what has been denied to it legislatively or judicially. An official who tries to use administrative delay or denial to defy the law as the courts have interpreted it is liable to indictment and trial for malfeasance—the use of State power for an illegal purpose.

   Of course, such a lawless official would be defended with the State’s resources, so pursuing him would be difficult. But if it were sufficiently publicized, to the point of ruining his reputation and destroying his prospects of advancement, it might put the fear of God into enough of them to keep anti-gun obstructionism from developing.
