  1. ”...when it comes to the European Union it is up to member states of the European Union to decide...”

Eeek! A statement in defense of national sovereignty? No wonder Sarkozy and Obama are having trouble getting along…

  2. No kidding GOF, take a good look at Turkey’s shenanigans as well.  Does that sort of pressure remind you of some other group?  Maybe one that’s frequently feeling insulted?  Could that have anything to do with the majority religion of Turkey?  Hasn’t Mr. Sarkozy had some problems with a particular minority (so far) group that wants to live in France but not follow either French traditions or French law?  Doesn’t EU membership give all citizens of the EU the right to travel freely within the EU?  Lastly, could Mr. Sarkozy be attempting to stop an “informal” invasion of his country?

So now we have Barak the Great trying to break down yet another of the bulwarks of Western Civilization.  All jokes aside, the French are a part of Western Civilization and our own culture is derived in part from theirs.  I’ll chalk this one up to another reason I don’t like Obama.  At least he’s too dumb to cover his tracks.  Hopefully, people will start connecting the dots and limit the damage he does between now and when he’s turned out of office.

    Well I can hope can’t I?

  3. P.S. I just found some interesting stuff over at Gates of Vienna.  Follow the link.  Sarkozy isn’t the only one complaining.  Merkel of Germany and others are upset too.  Didn’t someone say Obama was insulting our European friends and allies and sucking up to people who won’t like us anyway?  You’ll have to scroll down a bit, but it’s worth a good read.

Now lets see.  Hmmm. national sovereignty.
Damn but that looks familiar. I know I’ve heard about it somewhere in time.
Oh I get it. Ancient history. Right?
