  2. Will send prayers, but depending on the size of the diverticulitis area surgery is usually the best solution.  I had a colon resection surgery for colon cancer and I can vouche that it takes a full 6 weeks recovery, after the 7-10 days in the hospital.

  5. Happy birthday Rancino!

I have been told not to exaggerate my brother’s condition. Not aware that I was doing so. Right. So he’s having an issue in that area is about all I can say then. Or maybe “electronic scans have raised concerns”. Splitting hairs AFAIC, but whatever makes people happy. So it’s back to Wait and See. Fine.

Well, I hope he gets a big dose of medicine and gets better quick. He was sick a year and a half-ish ago, something completely unrelated, and was in hospital/care facility for a really long time. Don’t want him to have to go through that again.

  6. Having had a few run ins with diverticulosis I can sympathise completely. Hopefully antibiotics clears it up without need for surgery.

  7. Sorry about your brother - lousy to spend you birthday in the hospital. We had two family deaths last month and then the last member of my Dad’s medical practice just died.

I really, really don’t like this getting old thing. At. All.

Happy Birthday to all - here and family.

  8. OK, at least your Brother only suffers from a disease of the body.
My younger brother on the other hand suffers from a disease of the Mind.
Wanted to Buy a Leaf, the all electric car. Went to a dealerto see what was out there.
Forgot I have a wholesaler friend who could easily save him a couple grand if he used him ( Name is Cliff), So I go to Cliff and he says the dealer Bro was going to buys same car from buys from the same auction he does and, Easy Peasy we can go to the auction and let Bro select car he likes and Cliff will get it for him wholesale plus a small commission, So, after all this I am informed less than 18 hours later that Bro could not wait even 4 days to save a ton on an electric toaster( Leaf) and made a RETAIL Deal instead of getting the wholesale deal from Cliff.
I give up World, even when I try to save people money the do the same damn dumb shit shit they do anyway, even Family.
Hope your Bro gets Better Drew cause mine is a Lost Cause.

  10. Harley, he’s hanging in there. A couple days worth of IV antibiotics seem to be doing the trick, and they’ve getting him on blood thinners for the clot. So he might be released Monday. We’ll see.

Rich, what’s the process if somebody wants to order a car built to spec? Granted cars don’t have the option list like they used to, but I found that the vehicle I wanted simply did not exist in the color, trim line, transmission, and factory options I wanted, even though such a vehicle was the darling of the car reviewers online. I even used the company’s online car search, and there was not one of them, from Maine to North Carolina to Chicago to Memphis. So if I want it, I’ve got order a 2017 when they come out. And that means I get screwed right, and have to pay over window sticker?

  11. Drew, I don’t know what make of car you’re looking for but if you know one of the employees they might be able to get you a discount. Some of the companies require the employee to keep the car six months before they can sell it. I’m sure you could work out some sort of arrangement where you could use the car until the six months is up and then buy it from them.
