They just can’t help themselves those darn cats. Give them a Roll and they will rule the world,,,at least until the Roll runs out.
I am getting Catster (formerly Cat Fancy) [grandkids, school fundraisers I order one magazine a year], any way I realized that apparently abused/feral kitties have no use for that kind of crap. They don’t get up on the tables, counters or go after tissue or tp. They are anti-social - but the non-cat friends we have are appreciative of that little quirk.
Still feeding @ two outside cats (haven’t seen the others, but it’s just a degree cooler than hell out there, so I wouldn’t be out and about in the heat of day either). Wondering about trapping them all and neuter/spay and such them. Still on the proverbial fence on that one.
At least the ones hanging around are becoming more social - the nasty little ginger one even started eating while I was out there this morning. Progress - every little step is progress.
Of course I think my hubby believes it is toward me being a crazy cat lady. But I know in my heart I’m too cheap to go over 3 cats at a time. I got better things to spend my money on.
I hear that! I think our cat number is 4. 2 inside, 2 out. Our inside girls are both ferals, but we got them very young when they were just handful size, abandoned and nearly starving. The one pictured is super affectionate but also crazy and a bit nippy. The other one is stand offish to me, but mostly calm. Until 2am, when she becomes Lena the Lioness, moth hunting queen of the midnight jungle.
The 2 boys outside, both gingers, are sweeties who battle their inner desire to be house kittehs daily. “Wild” animals who kind of just bum about the patio. I can gently pet one of them a stroke or two when the food bowl goes out, and neither one hisses or gets pissy. Unlike their mom, Scowler, who is a walking bag of anger and fear, so feed me right now and go away!
