  1. I have to stay in Detroit till midnight so my son can purchase the “High End” model.

He says that if we miss it tonight we will have to wait till February ‘06 to score.

As soon as we get our Xbot were are headed to my youngest son’s wedding in Omaha, NE.

The “son” has already purchased a controller for the future Xbot, hez crazy. crazy

  2. Microsoft has previously stated that they are going to drive up demand this Christmas season by limiting the number of consoles shipped to stores.  That means they have more then enough to saturate the market but they want the masses frothing at the mouth instead!  Me, I will patiently wait until the Sony Playstation 3 ships and the prices on both drop dramatically by mid 2006.

The smart folks will have already made their reservations for multiple XBOX 360’s and we shall see them on eBay going for insane prices right before Christmas and immediately after the stores have run out.  The same will happen with the Sony Playstations when they ship.  Alas, I cannot make the investment this time around but next time, I will consider it.

  3. I played a demo version of “Call of Duty 2” on the 360 at Super Target Saturday, and all I have to say is “Me want!!  Me want!” That think can be addicting.

But the $300 pricetag is a bit too much.

  4. Gee whiz, I never got past Atari - star wars & pac-man.......... LOL
I asked my son if I should buy a PlayStation or Nintendo for my grandaughter this Xmas - “No, Mom, she’s too young” - & I think he’s right.........will concentrate on imaginative toys for her..........I still want to buy Tonka trucks & a crane so she can play with the little boys next door in their sandbox........ Who says a little girl can’t have trucks????
Last week I bought a remote controlled car for her ........and for her Daddy!!!!!! As well as plenty of books, coloring books & crayons, the DVD Madagascar, Tinker Toys (remember them?) & plenty of new clothes...................A grandmother’s right to spoil the little one at Christmas!!!!

My Navy son & his wife from Norfolk, VA, will be here this week for Thanksgiving - have been cooking & cleaning the past few days.............will have little Helena for an overnight Thanksgiving night as my son has to work a few hours on Friday - always enjoy having my “Little Bits” here............... Next Saturday I will take her to my hospital’s annual Breakfast with Santa - so looking forward to that...........I just love activities that involve my “little one”...........She keeps me young!!!!!!!!!

  5. Z: Why buy a game? Staying in Detroit until midnight has gotta be like playing Doom and Quake.

My teenage kids and I used to enjoy the adventure PC games, especially the Gabriel Knight series.  Marshall McLuhan would suggest that the new graphics cause lower involvement in the game.  My sons say that the newer AI opponents kick butt.

When movies first began, they were just toys.

  6. Oink: My son is in line since 7 PM last night waiting till 8 AM this morning to get that game.

If we miss my youngest son’s wedding my wife will blame me not him, the bozo.

  7. Oink: My son just called and the store lied to him and won’t open till 9 AM, those AssWipes.

Will you email my wife and tell her we won’t miss the wedding even if we have to drive 110 miles an hour through Chicago?

I don’t want to PissOff my new daughter-in-law, she’s a Morman.  You know how they can be. heart
