Maybe they should rename it “Hotel Gitmo, where you can check in but you can never check out”
The only therapy that is assured to be effective on these jihadi jackasses is a .45 ACP bullet…

As much as I’d like to see this turn out to be true, as far as I’m concerned it’s a shithouse rumor provided by an anonymous source to a website of unknown (to me) credibility.
I’m not familiar with the site and suspect an agenda driven more than fact driven report. I could be wrong, and I hope I am, but I don’t want to look like the denizens of DU or Kos and pick up on something that I want to be true and start beating the drums on “fake but accurate” info. It works both ways, you know.
I’m going to wait for multiple credible sources before going off on a tear. I’m sure you will too, Skipper. It’s much easier to lose credibility than to gain it.
I like my eggs over easy on a plate, not on my face.
Stin: you may note that in the post I said, “If this turns out to be true”, thus leaving the validity of the story in abeyance for now. I do know from one story at the BBC that a rider on the bus that was blown up saw a “middle eastern man” constantly fiddling with his backpack before the bomb went off. The witness, a Mr. Jones, gave a report and description to the police. Logically, it follows that there is a good chance that MI5 has a good description of a possible suspect, which could be compared to recent Gitmo detainees. I will withhold judgement for now though until more facts come in.

Note: my eggs this morning scrambled and served on a plate. None on my face.
I saw this story last night and thought the same thing you guys did. Considering the guy is a flesh-puzzle mixed in with many other flesh-puzzles, it seems beyond belief that any I.D. could be made this early. As well, how could anyone on that bus, traumatized themselves, give a description accurate enough to fit the face of one Middle Eastern man to another. I also believe those released from GITMO are kept track of by authorities in whatever country they end up in, so chances are, their whereabouts are well known. That doesn’t exclude the possibility of this rumor being true, but at this point, I don’t think they even know if a suicide bomber caused the explosion on the bus.
I’m keeping my eggs hard-boiled for now.
Yep, I noted the disclaimer, Skipper. I meant the caution more for our more ... er ... um ... ardent members rather than for you. I sort of thought that I had covered that with the “I’m going to wait for multiple credible sources before going off on a tear. I’m sure you will too, Skipper” part. Maybe not.
I saw a report that they’re looking for a Moroccan leader of one of the cells that has been banging around Europe for the last ten years or so. I’m trying to recall if he was supposed to be the guy on the bus or if he was tied somehow to the guy on the bus. I did come up with a name:Mohammed al-Gerbouzi and this old news story. I bet they’re reconsidering today their decision not to extradite some of these scumbags. You can bet that they’re knocking on some doors looking for these “sanctuary seekers”.
IF they don’t listen to the mail campain then it should be up to us to see that everyone of these appeasers is voted out of office if not impeached.
I’m in favor of getting rid of the appeasers just on what they’ve already done, Arch. They’ve already got a long and loathsome record. I’m in John Boehner’s district and he’s not one of them but I’m laying for “crying” George Voinovich and keeping a jaundiced eye on Mike de W(h)ine. I am however going to light a fire under Boehner about the illegal alien problem. He’s not doing about that.
The BBC is full of little red ants. I have a question for them. If “Mr. Jones” was close enough to this mystery Middle Eastern man to watch him ‘fiddle’ with his backpack, how come he’s still alive? This story is thriving on the Internet only. They still don’t know if a suicide bomber did the bus in. A couple of little asswipes probably made up this story to see how long it would take to circle the globe five times.
I’m thinking that Mr. Jones got off the bus shortly before it exploded. At least that’s what I recall from the article I read. Ah, here’s the article.
Not that I’m authenticating a BBC artilcle. As you say, they’re full of little red ants. It’s a shame, they used to be a trustowrthy group of objective journalists. Alas, those days are long gone.
Gullible? The public? Surely you jest?
