I think that’s entirely possible that they were too worried about the
heads at the G8 then they were about the goofballs roaming around London. Frankly, I ‘d like to have my way with these goofballs, preferably shave their heads and have them conscripted into what ever armed service that would take them. That ought to teach them all some manners. But then again, that’s just me.

You’ve got me laughing here: “...dumshits from the oven” I thought that we should see the “rest of the story” rather than the sympathy pieces and the “poor victim anarchists” angle the MSM seems to take. Sod ‘em all. They want anarchy? They can’t HANDLE anarchy (to paraphrase). I would love to have seen the cavalry charge. Reading about it was almost as good, though.
U2W I can see sending them to some sort of boot camp type of environment but please don’t continue the idea that the military should be a dumping ground for undesirables. I served during a time when judges sometimes gave this detrius a choice of jail or the military. Perhaps in the hope that they could be “straightened out”. Some did indeed straighten out but for the most part they were still undesirables despite the uniform and we didn’t want them and couldn’t trust them, a fatal flaw when your life might depend on your shipmates or team mates. I doubt that today’s all volunteer, higher standard forces feel any more charitable towards these critters.

Hehe, the LGF group is sort of ardent, tending towards extremism at times. They do get more trolls, though, so they’re sorta sensitive. I haven’t been over to see how they’re taking the London bombings but I can imagine that it’s not pretty.
I think I’ll go look. They are an interesting bunch. Usually there are so many comments on a thread that I don’t bother adding anything and what I have to say has usually already been covered.

About sticking those anarchists into the military: In the ‘80’s, the military tried some experiments with ‘criminals’ and mixing them in with a group of regular military. The goal was to see if the inclusion of the criminal into a ‘good’ group would bring the bad guys up to the good guys’ standard. They found they could do no more than 15% to accomplish that goal. Anything higher than 15% bad guys to good guys, and the group began to disintegrate into a kind of chaos. At around 30-40-% bad guys, they found the chances of the good guys succumbing to the lower standards of the bad guys was too high.
I hope this made sense.

I’ve seen the movie. Good movie, lotsa starpower, but when I hear “dirty dozen” I still think of the French irregular verbs. Then there was the time the Sonar gang on the K.D. Bailey was protesting and didn’t shave. We became known as the “dirty dozen”.

It’s one of my Mom’s experssions, Phoeninx. The first time I heard it was after my middle brother gave her some bullshit story and expected her to believe it when she knew better. It’s better with the Scot’s accent though. “He’s got wee beasties in his heed”.
I’m going to go visit her as soon as my car is fixed. She’s 81 and still kicking but not high kicking, if you know what I mean.
