  1. I can hardly believe what I have read. Sure, I understand police concern re. safety. Cops do get shot after all. But this damn thing is beyond bizarre. Little kids there and the parents are in cuffs?  What the hell is happening over there. They don’t even do that here and during the Is London Burning riots, they’d have had good cause.
Not a very good sign Drew.

  2. Get a warrant, Officer. No consent, ever. Detain & question if you need to, keep me detained after I am cleared, please join me in court.

  3. Whoa - wait a minute - beyond the 4th Amendment violations - umm, if these Nazi-like brownshirts can get the info - Wells Fargo bank robbed and that a GPS was dropped in the bag - don’t you think that a itty bitty detail such a male in his 20s (whatever) could have been added in for clarity?

What an over-reach of UNION Thugs who know they won’t be fired or even disciplined.

And Oats might just start praying - as the 40 people detained might not have filed a complaint with the police department (yeah, like that is going to accomplish a damn thing) - but rather are talking with lawyers.

It is one of the few times I vote for SUE THE PANTS OFF THEM and DEMAND THEIR FIRING.

Imagine if one of these gestapo wanna-bes did that to me and saw the lockbox under the seat - I’d probably be dragged off to jail before any of them even bothered to open it and see it was empty. And then I’d be threatened and arrested for not declaring I was carrying.

  4. Can you imagine the lawsuits from this? I know I’d bring one. I’m imagining actually earning my license to practice in this state. I’m on my way to meet a client and close a 6-figure deal. I don’t make the appointment because some idiot, without any reason, stopped and handcuffed me. For what? Am I being arrested? What is the charge? Suspicion? You need more than that to arrest a random citizen going about his/her lawful duties.

On a similar note, I read today on Drudge that the gov’t is releasing unmanned drones to monitor cattle ranches. I personally, if I owned a cattle ranch, would practice my skeet shooting and bring the f*cking thing down. That’s unreasonable search. And I bet I know why…
