Raising Taxes

  1. It’s an outrage.  An action to negate prosperity.
    We’ll remember this in 2008.

  2. Hmmmm, I hope that President Bush has plenty of ink for his veto stamp.

  3. Hope all those so-called conservatives who wanted to teach the Republicans a lesson by staying at home during the last election are happy now.

As befarkeled as the Party of Stupid was/is, they are a damn sight better than having the Party of Treason in charge.  Even if they accomplished nothing, that’s better than having a leftist activitist gang of traitors in charge.

Meanwhile, I continue to stockpile military caliber ammunition.

  4. I just emailed 2 of 3 of my Reps - my new dnc coward Brown can’t manage to get his email set up, typical lib really doesn’t want to hear what his constituents have to say. I just hope that all the ‘lesson teachers’ and ‘stupid masses’ are happy. It doesn’t surprise me, actually I am surprised that SanFranGranNan didn’t come out with a Tax cut repeal or hike as #1 to fund cloning/stemcellpipedreammoneydrain/abortion/euthanasia/universalhealthcareforillegalimmagrantsfirst
dnc ‘plan for the destruction of a Free and Safe America’.

  5. With all these Senators and Congressmen - hundreds of the lemmings - not a single one of them will “try to balance the budget” or “reduce the deficit” by cutting spending and shrinking the government. The only thing they can think of is raising taxes. F that!

I think any responsible housewife in America could do a better job than these clowns. Revamp the system to phase out farm subsidies, eliminate nearly all of the DOE, scale OSHA back, get the military to use more off-the-shelf stuff, cut out the pork, throw out the unions, etc., but most of all get some fiscal accountability going. No governement in debt should ever spend more than 75-80% of what they take in.

I bet there are 10,000 ways that money could be saved at the federal level. Stop printing extra money, only replace the bills that are worn out. Pay off the debt. Shrink the government by more than half. Social Security money goes into Social Security - Gore’s famous lockbox - not the general coffers. Give back the West - it is abhorent that the feds own so damn much land there. Cancel all contracts that allow foreign countries to mine and export our mineral wealth. Get the illegals out of our country at a rate faster than they breed.

The GOP should be shouting from the rooftops about this cancellation of the supermajority rule. They should be introducing a bill a day to shrink government programs and eliminate excessive restrictions on people and businesses, and driving the publicity engine full speed to let people know what they are doing. But no, they’re still asleep, so they’ll just sit back and let the Dems ruin everything, and MAYBE in 2008 they’ll have some lukewarm “I told ya so” campaign. Hey GOP - You want my vote then? Then remember what being Conservative actually means and get to work NOW.

  6. Let’s see.  The economy is going gang busters.  The stock markets have hit three all time record highs.  The treasury is taking in record tax revenues.  Hmmm, so would anyone please explain to me why the dimocrats want to raise taxes?  I remember the last round of tax cuts and rather enjoyed getting to spend more of my hard earned money.

  7. But Kirk, the dhimmicrats consider “your” money to be “their” money because we all know,
    “it’s for the children”....  bat3

  8. Screw the damned socialists/communists/thieves that want to take from me what they have no rights on.

  9. Just wait.  The Party of Treason will define “rich” as any houshold making more than $30,000 a year.

The Kennedys, the Pelosis, the Kerrys all have their finances protected by phony-baloney tax exempt trusts.  The rest of us just pay and sharpen our knives.

  10. Major Mike, the Dhimmicrats already define “rich” as anyone who is working for a living, anyone at all.

But I agree with you about the conservatives who stayed home in a sulk on election day, in order to teach the Republicans a lesson.  I could hope that next time they’ll know better; after all, it is obvious that the Dhimmicrats intend to teach a typical steal-from-everyone lesson of their own.

But I fear that if it isn’t one bunch of single-issue whiners and pouters gumming up the works in 2008, it will be another.

At times like this, I can understand how some might think that democracy is dust blown by the wind.

    Sigh.
