Well, one thing that I won’t be holding my breath for is this idiot getting the Al Campanis treatment. I guess it’s okay to be racist if you look like one of the “downtrodden minority”. I say “look like” because this asshole is anything but downtrodden. Whatever they pay him for his opinion is money better thrown out a window.
We certainly can’t force people to play winter games and how many people go to Africa for the skiing, curling or bobsled runs?

I for one could never stand his arrogant, *you people owe me something* reverse racism attitude.
Was it ever earned ? no...he simply has that *sense of entitlement* disease.He’s nothing more than a washed up , never has been, in my humble opinion.

If I were to explain a bit as to why the Winter games aren’t black enough for Gumbel - I’d be called a racist, yet it is crap like this and Mayor Nagin’s ‘Chocolate City’ crap that is more racist than any truths I would pass on. I just can’t belive that the msm continues to allow ‘racist’ black commentators free reign when there are some good ones out there. (Few, yes - but there are some).
And the fact that if a white commentator had said the reverse - he/she would be gone so fast, all our heads would be spinning. But I guess that’s racism for you. What is good for the goose ISN’T good for the gander.
I hate PC people. Let’s just get back to sports being about the game, politics about the country and living about humans. The rest is made up crap.
I think Gumbels just pissed cause Today gave him the boot. So he takes it out on the rest of us.

Perhaps Gumbel wants us to ship black people off to Nordic countries (in the front of the bus, of course0 where they can be forced to participate in winter games.

The first time I saw this quote in the media, it wasn’t complete. It just said that because of low numbers of blacks “the winter games look like a GOP convention.” I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, since like 99.95% of blacks are Dems. I thought “Okay...fair comparison! Good mental imagery. Not PC, but you get the meaning.” Now that I read the quote in full, I keep wondering what it must be like to be so angry?
So, could I say something like:
“Bryant Gumbles family is so black that it looks like _________!” I mean could we possibly fill in that blank with ANYTHING that would result in anything less than virtual crucifixion?
“Bryant Gumbles family is so black that it looks like .. an Event Horizon is about three inches from their house”.

The problem is that, while he looks “black” he seems to be anything but “black”. It’s just a way that he can lash out politically and not suffer any consequences. It’s called “playing the race card”. I’ve seen more than one person (of every hue) play it when they had no basis for an argument.
JEEZ, OCM, where DO you find this stuff?
In the NEXT reality series, Westerners dress up like Muslims, make a pilgrimage to Mecca, and whip off their disguises in front of the huge crowd at the Holy Stone. Promises to be an exciting, if extremely brief, series.

i remember reading somewhere , that during his time at the network,he was having a longtime affair with a *white* younger female...while he just so happened to still be married to his *black* wife....he had been married to her for quite some time,( and has (i think) 2 children)....all of whom were publicly outraged,hurt,and humiliated that he carried on this affair(kept the woman as a mistress) for quite some time during his time with the network...when he left , or was getting ready to leave the network, the story broke...he divorced his wife, and went *public* with his mistress.
not exactly a role model as a man or as a *black* man
I just have absolutely no regards for the man or the person. What was revealed during his * affair made public* proved he has no credibility what so ever, he has no honor, he is a liar, a cheat,screams racism, yet practices reverse racism every chance he gets- all the time touting that he desires to *advance his race*
give me a freaking break.
