  1. Kinda scary, ain’t it? If they can’t do THAT right, what in the name of Bob are they going to do to normal people?

  2. They were just practicing on how to screw up.  Or screw us over.  Something with screw in it…

  3. Yeah, you’d think with all the practice they’ve had screwing us over, running a whore house would have been child’s play for the Feds.

  4. Well, most of our congresscritters have sold themselves to others.  Maybe they have more experience in the whore field than we appreciate.

  5. I actually visited The Mustang back in the late 70’s. I was in the Navy and some buddies asked me to fly them over there from California. I flew...they payed for the pleasantries.

  6. Were that our lot in New Labour the working girls would have been leactured by Harriet Harman then the brothel would have been re-stocked with quota’s of black/lesbian single parent families, undocumented workers as well as a staff of human rights lawyers, equality gender specialists and other assorted non jobs, beer would have to be served in plastic glasses due to health and safety and available during certain hours only, oh and each client would have to fill in a fifty page questionaire before being allowed in.

It would also fail and cost the taxpayers millions.

  7. Nice Cut & Paste, Drew. You added three words from my post at LawDog.

  8. Maybe it didn’t make money because Congress kept using up all the booze and women and not paying, thinking it was a ‘perk’. “Executive Washroom West”.

  10. Now, I’ve got to consider that these are the only guys in recorded history that couldn’t make money with a whorehouse.  Under private ownership, the Mustang Ranch was internationally famous and made millions of dollars a year.  With the Feds in charge, how long was it before they were bankrupt and out of business?

These are the same people who pass endless regulations to protect us from ourselves.

    What am I missing here?

ATTENTION ON DECK. ATTENTION ON DECK.

Steve C claims credit for this quip. He has a site called LawDog. Ok, it’s his. Somebody sent it to me with one of those “I found this out on the net somewhere” disclaimers, so I posted it. Steve C didn’t leave me a link, and this is the lawdog blog that I found via Google: http://thelawdogfiles.blogspot.com/

So it may be his. Hey, what can I do? I give out hat tips and links when I know about them, but I can’t track down everything. So better late than never, this quip belongs to Steve.

Although I think I first heard the Mustang Ranch ruined by the government tale a long time ago.
