Pelosi’s Plane
Why does a member of congress need a plane at all? Pelosi is acting like a spoiled kid who is never happy with what she gets, even if it is something she wants. Good for the Pentagon to slap her face and say too bad, get over it.

Ok, just on the other side for a moment (just a nanosecond) this (sort of) comes from Dennis Hastert, getting a ‘jet’ when he was top dog (I think) - don’t know why - oops, Repubs for allowing it.
Now, once again our msm fails us - here are the questions
1) how many times and under what circumstances have any/all previous Speakers, used said jet? Was it official business only, was it just to go home, you get my drift on this question.2) How big a jet did any/all previous Speakers get and how many traveled with said Speaker?
3) And I thought Ms Shrieker of the House was all about ferretting out the ‘culture of corruption’ and ‘eliminating earmarks’ - not to mention wasting all those valuable tax payer dollars with meaningless drivel and ‘special perks’ - Silly Me to think that.

To answer your questions, partly, let me add some things.
1) The Speaker never had a jet before 9/11. After that, because of succession line security (Speaker is 2nd in line behind VP)it was authorized that the Speaker should get a military aircraft to go to and from official functions, including to and from the home district.
2) Speaker Hastert flew in what is in civilian life a Gulfstream IV, which is a mid sized business jet that can hold up to 14 people. This is the same jet being offered to Speaker Pelosi, no more, no less. Her contentions are that she wants to be able to take friends and family with her on the jet, the Air Force is saying no (Speaker Hastert only took immediate staff with him, no guests). She is also saying that in this jet she wouldn’t be able to fly non-stop to SF, when in reality, a Gulfstream IV will fly coast to coast non-stop.
3) Madame Speaker is all about ferreting out corruption, as long as it belongs to the republicans. John “jagoff” Murtha being sent in to put “pressure” on the Air Force is just normal operating procedure for the dems.

This story of, “I need a bigger plane because the Hassert plane needs to be refueled” is completely bogus.
She wants a C-32 (Boeing 757-200 equivalent) that has 42 business class seats.
Hastert used a C-20 and the Pentagon has offered to Pelosi the same aircraft.
If you look up the range of a C-20:
Range: C-20B, 4,250 miles (3,698 nautical miles) long-range; C-20H, 4,850 miles (4,220 nautical miles) long range.More than enough to fly her from DC to SF.

Saw her on the Commie News Network this afternoon engaging in some serious spin control, trying to pin the whole thing on the House Sergeant-at-Arms’ “security requirements”. Guess she figured she didn’t want to use up all her political capital in her first month in office.
I have no problem what so ever with her flying on a military flight. She deserves the same treatment as Hastert got. She is 2nd in the line of succession, and should some traiterous act befall the president and VP, it is only right that she be afforded a military craft so as to limit the number of civilian casualties from said act, assuming that said act is committed by enemies from with out rather than enemies from congress.
It would also seem wise to allow her family, staff and coconspiritors err, I mean fellow California congres critters, to fly with her, not necessarily for free, but possibly at a reduced rate. Why send a target out with only one pigeon on board?Grrr, g-dmn’d two-faced (maybe more if you count the number of times she’s had her face “pulled") left coast left wing lying lib granny.
