  1. Take care Drew- take care of you and yours.
I hear what you’re saying too. So much crap going on in the “outside” world, and not a lot we can do about it. Your family however, is within reach. Yes, the rest of the world will keep spinning on the edge of the whirlpool, as it always does, it’ll be there when you’re up to messing with it.

  2. Ditto Fenway Drew.

Truth is, things have been pretty screwed up for many more years then we think.

I can’t recall the book if it was in a book. It was so many yrs ago, I think I might have still been in my late teens. Anyway, somebody wrote that; “The world is a mad green onion, stinking and reeking it’s way through stellar space.”
Kinda seems it hasn’t changed any since then.  It’s just that communication has gotten better and we’re more quickly aware of everything. One thing on top of another before we’ve had time to digest a previous bit of info.

  3. Yes ditto to all the above - You know I feel your pain on the job front - we are still looking (and the operative word here is WE). The bs in the ME is a mine field - just damned if you do (see the Bush Administration) and damned if you don’t (see todays paper) - but to hell with them all - they forced the Formula 1 to nix it’s opening day race (Bahrain) - how dare they mess up the only way my hubby drags himself out of bed early on a Sunday morning - we get to sit together, quietly usually alone - it is worth it to watch F1 racing.

Oh well - you must remember the msm lies - we get our oil from Canada & Mexico and the ME is only 3 of the top ten importers - we don’t need them - let them blast themselves into the - well for them it would have to be the 1st century as they are already in the 3rd century (with guns, cell phones and of course enough English to beg the US to ‘send money’).

Take it easy and good luck in the job hunting.

  4. Certainly you need to care for you and yours. Especially your MIL.

As for retail, I’ve sworn the same, yet I would recommend the book Think and Grow Rich. What is retail but serving your fellow man? The trick is to move up the ladder.

    Rush Limbaugh is in retail.

No, seriously, what does he do? He captures a large audience so as to charge confiscatory rates to those who advertise on his show. Retail advertising.

As for taxes, remember to push for a flat tax:

Simple form: How much did you make? Send it in!

    See, hardly any paperwork! grin
