  1. Interesting conversation this weekend - opened that up - my son who for numerous reasons (such as just returning from the ‘Stan) is down on the current state of affairs right now and withdrew his Republican registration. I have mixed feelings - but indeed if not as bad as Democrats - the core of the GOP is at least big enablers and all talk but not willing to do the hard work to fix things.

NPR is just the cultivated (as opposed to ACORN and the Unions) arm of the Left - they however hold the same nasty, obscene and derogatory attitude toward the Right.

I hold a live and let live - as do most of the people I know - so the majority of the nastiness and divisiveness is coming from the Left.

    Go figure.

  4. Gosh, it looks like his time in America has really messed with his writing abilities. My goodness, isn’t it just chock full of grammatical errors?

“Left-leaning, worthy and a more than a little self-satisfied”. “and a more than a”? Interesting use of “worthy” in there; I think he meant to write “intellectually cock-sure” or something like that. Worthy here generally means that something has value to others. “Ivory Tower elitist” fits too. It’s the Berkley Sneer, on the radio.

“who much granola,” I’m still certain much is not yet an verb. Munch perhaps?

cack-handed”? Interesting. Does he mean fingers covered in poop? Or was it just too far on his keyboard to the “b” key?

“Such haughty pronouncements is not only that they underestimate the power of the opposing arguments they face.” [Such haughty pronouncements are (proof that) (a sign that) (clear evidence that) not only do they underestimate...] Worse, this is one of those hanging thingies ... the latter half of the sentence is missing. You don’t use “not only” and then not list the next points. In the same way, you don’t use “either” and then not use “or”.

I’ve always enjoyed reading the English press even when I hate what they write because the authors actually can write, and most of them are not afraid to use words from a significant vocabulary. Send this guy home; too much of that uneducated American writing style is rubbing off on him.

Oh, and since when has Juan Williams ever had ANY conservative views????

  5. Hey Rich, thanks for sharing ... but if you actually READ the blog, you’ll see that Peiper posted this very story YESTERDAY.

Hey shooters - follow Rich’s link and look at the picture. If Achmed there under the crosshairs is exactly 5 mils tall, how far away is he? LOL

Whoa ... I didn’t say that. The writer of the story did. I merely presented his view of things, and leave the rest up to all the readers.

  7. Peiper- sorry about my error here.  I disagreed vehemently with the author’s view that replacing the current president with “a Fox news President....probably isn’t the answer.” The incumbent is a parody of a SNL amateur lefty comedian doing his thing.

  8. I hate the left so much, I tried to get my southpaw wife to change hands.

You think the left is bad news in the USA, and it is, try this damn screwball, pc, multi kulture, diversed, commie-sar run place, where even the cons are consv. lite. Well, not all of course. Maddening. Walk around with a perpetual rcob in my sights. And I think we’re gonna be here awhile more.
