Seems to me to be a simple case of discrimination (reverse discrimination?)
Who owns the land the travellers are building on? Is it public land?
I would think that a home, and two cottages on 18 acres of land could hardly be considered over development.
But, then again, I’m increasingly cursed in today’s world by using my common sense.
Yah. Pretty screwed up.

Declare yourself King of the Elowki and that you are claiming your land back. No Problem.
Problem with these ppl is so far outta hand I really see no solution. Or at least, anyone in authority who will stand up and say out loud, STOP!
The house next door, till it was sold a year ago and only demolished two week ago, was vacant for something like 22 years. The folks who owned it kept it up much as possible and paid utilities etc and had grass and hedges cut on a regular basis.
The wife’s late mom looked after it for years (knew the family etc.) kept lights on at night in one room, had flowers in the windows indoors and out on porch and generally had the place looking lived in. Even made sure to have trash to put out every week by the front gate.
Fear was for either travellrs finding it, or squatters. And I haven’t even gotten around to posting about that last group.
They’ve been taking million dollar mansions that are vacant, in London, but still furnished in many cases.
This is a very weird place for any American like myself to understand.
Of course in the USA, doubtful they’d be very successful as mostly we’re armed at home.
The most ya have here is an air gun. Hell, I guess that’s something. Can’t use it tho.
