  2. I really liked her dissection of Obama’s whole situation.  It’s pretty much the best I’ve felt since Obama was elected the first time.

The idea of Obama fighting with the Republicans for the next two years is kind of scary.  I can’t see the government doing anything useful, just minimally damaging.  I can also see a lot of grief over executive orders that may or may not be legal.

  3. Lets hope that loneliness is terminal.

  4. he has the special power of the man who doesn’t care

What no one seems to get - I feel that Obama never cared. For him, everything from Columbia on - seems to be about - Obama rising to president - and implementing a socialist/communist agenda. And nothing else.

That is where the Press - which was meant to report news, not shape it - fail journalism and the American people.
The Democrat Party - come on, kids, if I can identify this, complete and utter lack of respect/concern for anything other than agenda - was this disregard to sinking Dems really such a surprise? Or should it have been?
Or why, when in Jan 2009 - when Obama’s first words in the meet and greet of the new Congress were - I won - should the GOP done anything and everything to fight this guy tooth and nail throughout his entire term? Especially given all the illegal, immoral and anti-American actions that this Administration has done. The GOP is damned if they do, damned if they don’t - so they should be doing the right thing no matter what is written.
Acts of omission are worse than acts of commission - because you are (usually) not doing the right thing. Going along to get along is wrong.

He’s not alone - he has dozens, hundreds, thousands, if not millions world wide who are secretly cheering him on and laughing at the stupid, duplicitous GOP for allowing this crappola to continue on unabated at all.

Yes it is unusual - as no one in any seat of power - the press, the Supreme Court, the House or the Senate seems to be willing to step up and put an end to this corrupt Administration.

It wasn’t Woodward and Bernstein who took down Nixon - it was the corrupt Democrats/Liberals - much like Castro - who could then step into the void that they created - and do much, much worse.

And like Cuba - the people bought it - hook, line and sinker.

Sad days in America, right now.

America - imagine a world without her.

Scares me more than anything else that can be said.

  5. It seems to me that very few people these days really understand what a president is supposed to be. He’s an implementer, not a policy maker. It’s Congress that’s supposed to set policy, not the president or whatever party he belongs to. Sure, he can suggest things, but it’s congress that decides and the executive that implements. We tend to treat the prez as some sort of temporary king. Perhaps it would have been better if they had made Washington a ceremonial king.... then his successors could handle the pomp & public nonsense, and let someone else do the real work. wink
