  1. Thank you Drew.  We have very similar taste in presses.  I use a Rock Chucker when I need to form brass and my 550 for everything else.

I’m a little surprised about the Mencken quote, I got it from the Skipper.

  2. Alright, another journalist! 3 more and we can become an online magazine!

  3. My bench wears Dillon blue too. A Square Deal B for handguns. I use a Forster Co-Ax for rifles.

  4. Glad I was busy yesterday - here I was thinking writing - silly me. I should have known better.

  5. We do write things ... sometimes. But it’s hard to resist those simple puns, especially when they have a deeper, more complex meaning.

Without the Second Amendment to support it, the First only exists at the government’s pleasure. So the one kind of press is just as important as the other kind. Now, if I had put up a picture of a garlic press, that would have been truly silly.

I like the silly. The world is a messed up place and that can be pretty depressing. So I’ll take any way I can find to generate a laugh or a grin. I’ll also take bits of news that show what people can accomplish when they work together for a good common goal, or when some artist, inventor, or researcher comes up with something entirely new and wonderful. And I’m eager to have the stories that make you proud, because, unlike Mrs. Obama, I can find 100 reasons a day to be proud of my country ... or other countries, or even the whole human race on rare occassion.

Naturally we’ll continue to mock the crap out of the idiots in power when they prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are idiots. And we’ll rage against the misguided fools who won’t stop pushing for a Marxist Utopia. Those particular “guns” need an endless supply of ammuntion. Which rather brings me back to the original pun this post was about!

Thanks Wardmama. I started out trying to make a funny response to your comment, and wound up making a Vision Statement instead!

  6. Hello All,

Mostly a Lurker myself but this post made me aware of the fact that I am not alone
    in my love of reloading.

Use a single Stage press for low volume calibers, Ammomaster progressive for High volume pistol and Dillon 1050 for High volume Rifle.

When I am loading I feel every pull of the handle is an act of defiance to the Liberal hoards that wish to control us.

    Thats my bit, SwedeBoy

  7. That’s the kind of “freedom of the press” that I truly admire! Git ‘r’ Done!
