  1. I hate when there’s a nice post with no comments.  So I’ll make one.

“Very funny, Captain.  Now beam down my clothes.”

  2. I learned touch-typing long ago on an old clunker like this Royal.  Brings back a lot of memories, seeing this.  Is touch-typing even taught any more?  It is handy as hell to know how.  Most of your work on a computer keyboard is still done with the old “QWERTY” key section.

Oh, and they taught proper typing posture in those days, too.  I have been banging hell out of typewriters and computer keyboards for nearly 40 years now, and not a suggestion of carpal-tunnel syndrome here.  Like typing speed, it’s all really a matter of posture, just as it is for piano playing.

    wink

  3. I remember taking typing in high school as an elective my senior year as I already had enough credits to graduate - passed the class with flying colors..............Only problem is, I forgot it all.......to this day I still type on my computer keyboard and at work with one finger on each hand.....guess which finger it is???!!! finger Hahahaha..........
