  1. Skipper, I’ll take this chance to express my thanks for making this a regular feature of the blog.

None of us ever truly have enough perspective on our background, and without an adequate perspective on that, it is immensely difficult to arrive at any worthwhile perspective on our foreground, or future, if you prefer.

A feature like this helps a lot, not to mention how poorly history fares at the hands of our current diseducation system.

Keep up the good work, and ROLL TIDE!

    wink

  2. OCM, did we get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning? You’ve stormed in here and left several angry comments on different posts, attacking everyone and everything. Are you OK, pardner?

As for this post, history happens. I can’t change what days it happened on. I post neat stuff (like the anniversary debut of the Corvette, last week) as well as famous “war” dates.

Relax, dude, and go look at the “Weekend Skin”.
    LOL

  3. Come on OCM, you can’t roll over that easy for State Farm to hoze you like that.  You need another comma, that means 7 figures.  Hell, the average malpractise suit in Arizona last year was $2.3 million.  Any time you start screaming “Nurosurgeon” you get 2 commas in the settlement, if you have a lawyer.

When you so-called agreed to this restricted amount did you sign anything?

They read you like a book exactly like I do.  State Farm lawyers probably got a raise for sticking it to the old Colorado guy.  You are as predictable as water running down hill.  I could almost predict to the day you officially become a Republican, you’re all the same.  peace

  4. Some more usless trivia. The fall of Washington in the War of 1812 featured the only time a sitting President has led troops in battle. President Madison manned and led an artillery battery during the evacuation of D.C.
