I never thought I would see the day that I sided with a Latin American coup over the elected president of the US, but that day has come.
Whatever my misgivings are about the coup and what its instigatiors may do, the fact remains that the Honduran constitution undeniably justifies their actions. That so few people know this is, to say the least, disturbing.
God help the Hondurans on the Troubled road.
And God help the West.
When potentates decide that the rule of law does not matter, that constitutional restrictions on power can be overcome by executive fiat, the people inevitably suffer.
Uhmmm, need I say more?
I bet the lawn jockey is a tad insecure about the legal side to this, as it could inspire some Americans. Also I think we are too hard on obama, so far he is doing a little better than other African presidents.
