What a strange alliance; the religionists and the Godless Democrats. How come the very people who yell about “separation blah blah...” and won’t allow God to appear in print or prayer at a high school football game or graduation, thereby restricting freedom of religion, are now suddenly concerned about Bush’s lack of vigor in enforcing freedom of religion in another country?
Ans: They so badly want Bush to fail, fail at anything please, that they are willing to risk a pyrrhic victory wherein we lose a major oil supplier, or cripple many American businesses who deal with those countries, esp. China, or lose an ally in the war on terror to jihadis, or tip a country precariously under secular rule over to Islamist rule, or even provoke China to encourage one of its client states into a war with their neighbors to spite the US.
I am so fucking tired of single issue people, both the Democrats whose sole purpose is to get Bush and the idiots that don’t think there are enough churches in Bumfuckistan or spotted katydids in Brooklyn, buzzing around like stepped on yellowjackets anytime their pet cause is somehow slighted without any consideration of the big picture and the well-being of the country.
I wish we could consign all of those selfish ratbastards to a UN-run mandate in Bumfuckistan where they could all caucus and leak and meet and protest and bloviate and entitle to their hearts’ content, and see if anything useful ever occurs. I doubt it.
Would someone help the conservatives find their colective spines-please!
