Not exactly fighting city hall but close … A socialist nanny state is never logical.

  1. Hey how did I miss the bit about milk and coughs? could you give me a link to find it?
On the topic of diesel v gas, in the Uk there is (no shocks there) a small price penalty on D but the drivability and fuel consumption are magic (on our last trip to the south of France, in a old 1.9 TD we averaged over 50 mpg and were cruising at 80 to 90 mph, in an overloaded car!!)

  2. I spent too many (3)years living in the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia during the Earth Mother days (actually those was a number of my friends). With new children - it just was logical that they pushed, shoved, and dragged me into learning all about natural health (actually it was a person (me) who had food allergies having children with a man (my ex, well no both) who is allergic to everything but food. Diary just helps make more mucus when one has any type of respiratory illness - it is probably why some Docs think it is an allergen and why some don’t - because it is a fine line between cause and exacerbates.

  3. 1) My little aside should read - those were a number of my friends, oops.

2)The link between foods and allergies are what made a name for Dr. Feingold (not the member of the Klownposse in DC) and Dr. Lendon Smith and now into such Drs. as Doris Rapp (Is This Your Child?)

While I do agree for those with respiratory problems and allergies - it does not hurt to cut back and/or stop dairy during the duration, I however, ascribe more to the theory that it is the chemical cuisine that they put into ‘food’ and call ‘food’ that is more at cause for allergies, obesity, and (gasp) cancer.

But that is just my humble 0.02 cents worth - even though there is a medically (my bad, scientific) direct line between the use of infant formula and the development of diabetes in humans. But do you think any Doctors would ever think to actually say that?

Sad, Peiper as you continue to have problems - we switched pharamcies - as Kroger locally has declared itself bought and owned by the UFCWIC.  And even though I knew Kroger was a Union shop - it was my first job at 16 to cross the line - it is another thing to see signs posted at every door declaring it. (Hmm, I wonder why now?) Anyway, that and the fact that my hubby graduates next year - and the job might not keep us here in OH, I changed to Walgreens.

I have never been happier - without a second thought (or note from the Doctor) they put easy open bottles on my son’s scripts, they have a drive through - so he doesn’t even have to get out of the car and they have express pay - auto on his card and no signing.

But with Messiah Care about to be shoved down our throats - I expect all of that to change momentarily.
