  1. I stood a-wondering which way to go,
I lit a cigarette on a parking meter
And walked on down the road.
    It was a normal day.

  2. Be sure to follow the link to the Sheehan story. There’s a poll you might want to vote on.

  6. Hey Skipper, why link to moonbat yahoo news?  The first sentence on Bush’s speech starts out, “A politically weakened Presiden Bush...” Where the ef are they getting that? The whole story continues in that way.  Digusting.  barf

  9. Reminds me of the “Merry Minuet” from the Kingston Trio circa 1958:

    tune

    They’re rioting in Africa
    They’re starving in Spain
    There’s hurricanes in Florida
    And Texas needs rain
the Whole world is festering with unhappy souls
The French hate the Germans, the Germans hate the Poles
Italians hate Yugoslavs, South Africans hate the Dutch
And I don’t like Anybody very much.

But we can be tranquil and thankful and proud
For man’s been endowed with a mushroom-shaped cloud
And we know for certain that some lucky day
Someone will push the button and we will all be blown away

    They’re rioting in Africa
    There’s strife in Iran
What nature doesn’t do to us
Will be done by our fellow Man

    -- Sheldon Harnick @1958

The more things change, the more they remain the same… :rulez:

  10. I’m a Bush Republican because the President is so smart.  He said, “Freedom is on the march,” and all the Democrats cheered.  Didn’t the President say we demand Democracies all over the Middle East?  Did the Democrats cheer when the President said after Iran we were headed to free Burma?  Burma, that’s where Saddam sent his WMDs, those asswipes.  I say let’s free Burma before N. Korea. uzi

The whole house went crazy when the Prez said, “More afforable health insurance.” The President is just playing with these Democrats.  It’s like taking candy from a baby.  A blind baby.  Ted Kennedy pig  said, “If you liked Personal Savings Accouts (PSA) for the saving of Social Security (A Ponzi Scheme) you will LOVE Health Savings Accounts (HSA).  Shit, that’s a perfect Ted quote for a 60 second commercial for tax free HSAs.

That’s why Gov Jeb Bush calls the Democrats - Pathetic. monkey

Let’s amend the Constitution so President Bush can serve a 3rd term so more millions will be free in more and more countries.  Let’s bomb with more drones though. flag

  11. That story is not really too bad, rudebadger, considering it’s an AP writer, (writer, not reporter or journalist, writer) I’ve seen a lot worse. Robert Burns is an example. He really hates Bush and it shows.

Then there was the AP guy who wrote lies about the crowd booing at a rally before the election when Bush mentioned Clinton being in hospital with a heart problem. The coward even wrote it under someone else’s byline. It was disproved with video from numerous sources. AP hid under their desks.

Reuters is worse. I won’t even read a Reuters story any more.

  12. It’s all propaganda and lies StinKerr.  The only one you can believe is President Bush, unless hez trickin’ those Democrats again.

  13. And then there’s THIS lady .........................
    GO, BEVERLY YOUNG!!

Representative’s Wife Says She Was Ejected For ‘Support Troops’ Shirt

    POSTED: 9:40 am EST February 1, 2006
    UPDATED: 9:56 am EST February 1, 2006

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—The wife of Representative C.W. Bill Young says she was ejected during President Bush’s State of the Union address for wearing a T-shirt that says, “Support the Troops Defending Our Freedom.”

That’s according to the St. Petersburg Times.

Beverly Young says she was sitting in the front row of the House gallery Tuesday night when she was approached by someone who told her she needed to leave.

She says she reluctantly agreed, but argued with several officers in an outside hallway.

In a telephone interview with the newspaper, Young said she told them her shirt wasn’t a protest but a message of support.

Capitol Police Sergeant Kimberly Schneider says Young wasn’t ejected from the gallery and she left on her own. She couldn’t provide additional details.

Young’s husband is a Republican from Indian Shores. He found out about the incident after Bush’s speech and called it unacceptable.

  14. Gotta wonder who that “someone” was. Is this sloppy reporting or what?

What’s the deal with all these folks in T-shirts in the House gallery. Don’t they know enough to dress for an occasion?

Posted by StinKerr    United States   02/01/2006  at  04:03 PM

  15. Question of the day - how does someone who has no job (she was fired from her job at the Napa County Health & Human Services office, I think back in June of 2005) go to Venuzela, than onto Washington D.C. ?!? Gimme the money, I’d put it to use that will benefit all of America - by making two more productive, college educated citizens. You ought to read Ms Sheehan’s own ‘version’ of her arrest - so self-depricating. You know that she is just this sweet, mellow gentle woman who just never wants to get upset but damn that President Bush (he made me do it).

If there are rules against wearing t-shirts in the House gallery, then ANYONE wearing one should be tossed out.

You all know that the Sen. who gave Ms Sheehan the ticket is one of those Code Pinko supporters.  shock
