RFSP
Don’t recognize that acronym?

(it’s the second one)
BECAUSE we invented it, OCM.
We did. And we had made enough Purple Hearts, in preparation for the Japanese invasion, that we are still using the stockpile.
We were the first to successfuly put the theories into practical use. Indeed much of the theoretical work was done in Europe. Many of the scientists who worked on it were Europeans. The U.S. did it because of warnings from German refugee scientists, many of whom were Jews, who fled Germany. Reports at the time indicated that Germany was working on a bomb. It became a race. Indeed there was a team put ashore immediately after D-Day to try to find out how the Germans were progressing on their bomb.
And had not Himmler been prone to lock up the Reich’s remaining nuclear scientists, they still might have won the race. Imagine a stable of multi-stage V-3 rockets, each crowned with nuclear warheads. They were on the way.
Just like the winner of the war gets to write the (revisionist?) history books.
But seriously. I would not kid myself for a second thinking that Japan or Germany would not have used a nuke had it been in their grasp. I’m pretty sure that those nuclear development programs were underway for a reason (and not to develop cheap electricity).
That and the projected half million casualties that were averted, OCM.
Of coure, now the Japanese are/were victims. Talk about your revisionist history…
Major Kong, he ain’t!
