My aborted meeting with The Skipper

 

1. Takes me back a few years.  My DJ days.  I think Conway and Loretta may have covered this tune as well.  Branson,MO.  Oh man what memories.  I was there with someone I represented at the time and the plans in mind were to buy a theater but nothing came of it.

   And that was when Branson was at the very beginning. Or almost so.  Bet I’d never recognize now.

2. Don’t forget peiper, in this case he is ‘covering’ his own tune. He wrote it, he had the hit in the ‘70s.
