  1. Well life’s a bitch - here I’ve been struggling since last week to get going on a new project (and feeling even more techno-idiot than usual) and low and behold this AM I get an email from my boss - saying take the day off - there’s something wrong with the website. DUH.

Now I’ve got almost nothing to do - warming up the ingredients to put into a bread machine for bread for dinner. Usually by this time, I’m pulling myself out of news and views to start working. Oh well.

What I really don’t get is that people like my neighbors - low education, minimum skill jobs (she is a waitress, oops server and he a delivery truck driver) who never owned until this house (both early 50s), and don’t vote (not even registered)- they don’t bother, they don’t care. So why are the liberals pandering to them? How many (really think about this) of the anti-war crowd are on any government rolls? I know, saw a lot of these people when I did the census work - they buy a trailer or house for cash and just live bare bones on whatever pension/day job they get. They don’t want to vote, heck don’t even register because they all are anti-government (which also is a conundrum I don’t get, supporting the party of uber big government) to the max and don’t want to raise a single flag with their name on it. Of course add to it the embittered Vietnam Vets/hippies who are trying once again to do the same thing?

I just don’t get it and taxes hikes too. Who supports bigger taxes to support people who won’t take care of themselves or their families? It just does not compute in this brain at all.

  2. Reminds me.  Installed TurboTax last night and need to organize all the receipts, etc.

Historically, revolutions occur when the middle class gets pissed off enough at the exisiting establishment.  The middle class provides the leadership, the lower class provide the muscle, and the social elites provide the bodies to hange from the lampposts.

  3. Too bad THe Dems want to go past the skin and will if they get their way.... Edwards talking about raising taxes for Universal Health Care, and Hillary saying oul company profits should be taken away and used for alternative Energy Research… I don’t see her volunteering the profits she made from her book to any case.. do what ya preach.. ohh wait Dems don’t do that.. and they like to muddle things with annoucing the oil company profits without mentioning the profit margin......

  4. Hell, I live in Wisconsin. Our tax system here is where, after the shearing is done they reach up your butt to pull the mutton out from the inside.
