  1. If George Orwell’s basic premises in “1984” were correct, then so are Vox Day’s.

Oceania, Eurasia, Eastasia.  It is coming.

Doubleplus ungood, but coming, all the same.

    Nolens volens.

  2. Neither side of the aisle seems to want to do anything about our borders. I hate to tell you that one of the cuts to the budget increases has been the border patrol. 200 new personnel instead of 2000. ICE has also taken similar hits.

    This really pisses me off.

We don’t need or want to militarize the borders, but we do need more policing and enforcement there and in the interior of the country.

  3. Excuse me, but I can’t seem to find my country.  It was here just a minute ago, and now it’s gone…

They outbreed you at 3:1.  Very few in Congress/Regress give a shit because all they see on both sides of the aisle is a new potential voting base to exploit for their own greed and political leverage.  It’s almost too late.  If something is not done soon - that is, within the next year - prepare yourselves and your children for the next Civil War.  We’ll call it Cowboys and Wetbacks, coming soon to a town near you.  Now, here’s Tom with the weather…

  4. Here is a perfect example of nobody in our gubmint knowing what the hell is going on.

Thishit home with me because it happened at the Navy federal Credit Union where I banked in Oceanside, CA.  I was there not an hour before this happened, right in the parking lot, as Navy and Marine Corps wives and children went about their business.

    OFFICER TONY ZEPPETELLA
    Oceanside P.D.
    June 13, 2003
Officer Zeppetella was shot and killed during a “routine” traffic stop.
Witnesses stated he went up and contacted the driver and within seconds,
he was shot. The suspect escaped in Officer Zeppetella’s radio car,
which he abandoned a short time later and fled on foot.
The suspect, a confirmed gang member, gave himself up a short time later.
Officer Zeppetella was the first Oceanside Officer killed in the line of duty since 1916.
He is survived by his wife and 6 month old daughter.

Now what they don’t tell you is that as Officer Zepetella was crawling desperately back to his patrol car after being shot several times, the perp, who had emptied his 9mm, grabbed the officer’s weapon and pistol whipped him with it, before emptying its remaining rounds into the officer, and taking off in the officer’s patrol car.

They mention this scum bag is a gang member, but they don’t mention that he is an ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT from MEXICO who had already been deported 3 TIMES!!!!

You folks back there in the Homeland better get this right, and get it quick.  The Trojan Horse is already in the gates.  It is nearly time to get medieval, even Old Testament, on these burrito barbarians who are coming to take OUR country.

  5. There is an ominous deja vu about all this.  Before and during World War I, both Imperial Germany and Imperial Japan muddied their hands in Mexican waters, attempting to exploit Mexico as the “natural enemy” of the United States, in order to further their own ends.  You may read the entire story in Barbara Tuchman’s ”Zimmermann Telegram” (New York:  Viking Press, 1958).

To both imperial countries, Mexico was the “soft underbelly” of the United States, and any problems with this “soft underbelly” would keep American attention focused on its “home front.” Their reasoning was not unsound.  As Tuchman notes:

“The American General Staff’s plans assumed that if ever Japan undertook to invade the United States it would be by way of Mexico into the Mississippi Valley, with the object of splitting the country in two....’Every European and Asiatic General Staff which has studied a possible war with this country,’ said one of General Pershing’s staff, ‘recognizes the great advantage of an alliance with Mexico.’”

As Tuchman narrates, Imperial Japan and Imperial Germany were both interested in provoking war between the U.S. and Mexico. Many in Japan were interested in Mexico as a potential ally in case a conflict of Pacific interests led to war between Japan and the U.S. (as indeed it did in 1941).  Germany wanted American attention diverted from the war in Europe.  If the U.S. was tied up with its own war in Latin America, it could not help the Allies against the Central Powers.

Both countries dabbled in Mexico with money and arms diplomacy, and in Germany’s case, the diplomacy led up to the infamous Zimmermann telegram, proposing alliance with Mexico and promising the return of its former territories (such as Texas and New Mexico), if it helped Germany prosecute a successful war against the U.S.

Publication of this telegram, of course, did a great deal to marshal the American people for entry into World War I.

Now, as we are involved with the War on Terror, is it significant that we are suddenly having so much trouble with Mexico once again?  Mexico is still our “soft underbelly,” and any enemy of ours might be counted on to recruit help south of the border, if possible.

Remember, Mexicans remember the Alamo, too.

We hear a lot about Arab terrorists slipping in over the border.  What kind of money (and maybe arms) diplomacy could be going on in Fox’s chambers?

Let no one be surprised if we eventually hear a great deal about it....

  6. Tannenberg:  “Remember, Mexicans remember the Alamo, too.” Yep, and they want the SW corner of the US back.  Great post, btw.

La Raza is “the race” in Spanish.

  8. Stanley, here’s an ancient Chinese proverb:  “Is not good for man to be out on limb when tree pruner approaches with saw.” LOL

  9. Stan the Man, you must love living on the edge....

Thanks for the kind words, I.N.C.  If you haven’t read Tuchman’s book, do so.  The parallels are creepy.  Even oil is involved.  At that time, navies were converting from coal to oil, and Mexico supplied about one-fourth of the world’s requirements of oil, including almost all of the Royal Navy’s oil.  At one point, the Kaiser offered Mexico an alliance and aid if it would shut off oil supplies to Great Britain.

    “It’s all about oil,” indeed!

    wink

  10. Isn’t it so strange, when deciding where INC and I would settle, I joked, I would change my name to Juanita, slip across the border, take on a Mexican persona, tongue wink that way I would have no immigration paper work to worry about. Knew I had waited for a reason, now I would get free medical, education, medicare and all the other perks.LOL

  14. PICTURE:  a backyard w/a tree.  Stan climbs ladder 20 feet into a tree to save frightened kitten.

Vilmar approaches tree, removes ladder, firs up 24” bar chain saw

So, what’s it going to be this time?

Posted by Vilmar    United States   03/23/2005  at  05:43 AM

  15. No need for melodrama, Vilmar.  Stan most certainly had no kitten in mind when he climbed into the tree.

Saw him down!  Or better yet, give him the saw and let him pull a Mack Sennett....

    LOL

  16. I say we dynamite the tree and call it a day!

    MILLER TIME!  LOL

  17. I think its time to shutdown the us borders for a couple of years until we can sift through the legals and illegals. Ship out the illegals and get them the hell out of here. Then after all of that is done, then re-open the borders and put on stricter guidelines and more border patrollmen. It may take millions of dallors at first to do it. But look at all the money we would save in the future. You have to spend money to make money. That is exactly how the twin towers got bomed. It wasnt someone flying in from some other coutry, it was immigrants that currently lived in the us. We need to do something about this so that we make a safer and wealthier future for our seleves and our future children.

Posted by Antarctic Sparky    United States   03/24/2005  at  02:09 AM

  18. Easy there, Sparky. It was NOT immigrants who flew into the towers. Those guys were here on student visas and visitor visas, some of which had expired. NONE of them were immigrants. There is a difference.
