  1. At precisely what altitude does OCM live?

  2. I remember the time I was kidnapped and they sent a piece of my finger to my father. He said he wanted more proof. (Rodney Dangerfield)

My son Zera always liked it when I suggested he skateboard down the yellow line of the highway.  He & my daughter inherited my sense of humor—she could do a great quote from “The Bad Seed”.

She also did this great bit where she would pretend-answer telephone solicitors, with a trembling little voice, “No .. my father’s passed out on the sofa again, and I’m afraid if I wake him, he’ll (sob) beat me!” (hangs up)

  3. T, higher than a kite at 6K+

  4. Wonder how he’d make out on the Altiplano.

For that matter, I daresay that residents of the Altiplano might dispute the claim that “people who live high live longer.”

  5. My daddy used to tell me, “There is a bus leaving in 10 minutes kid, be under it.”

  6. "Beauty is in the eye of the
    beholder”

BOOHOOO, now I know why my parents called me a beautiful child; then in the same breath, go play tag with the traffic, or go sit on an electric fence.  Must mean I was in fact reallll real ugly.
    oh oh

  7. On a serious note and being the mother of 3 children, a child’s cuteness or beauty to me has never been their physical appearance but one of attitude.  Ugly children are ones that have BADDD attitude no matter what they look like.

The survey conducted should be classified “Bad Parenting.”

  8. Why have we not heard this one yet?:

He is so ugly, that, as a child, his parents had to tie a pork chop around his neck to get the dog to play with him.

  9. This sort of reasearch always merits attention.
not in the context of what is being discussed here but in how it came about.
Herrell, it will be remembered, was looking for something ELSE.
That means he approachs his new object of study without preconception. A great many of the most significant discoveries are made by accident, probably for that very reason.

  10. OCM - Didn’t take much smoke when you were in Pinecliff to get you going, did it?

Posted by LC Geno    United States   03/17/2005  at  06:41 PM

  11. Pinecliff?

Posted by Oink    United States   03/17/2005  at  08:05 PM

  12. Lucius Severus Pertinax, I realise the merit of the study, however the results garnered should not be pinned on the ugliness of a child per se but on how bad parents are.  Then again show me a male that doesn’t become awe struck with a womans physical attributes/beauty first before, shock, horror becoming aware of her nasty demeanour, and suddenly as if hit by lightning realises that the plain Jane girlfriend is by far the better person of the 2.  Some people call it human nature, I call it shallowness.

  13. The truth of the matter is, plain Janes can be just as nasty as beautiful girls--and are plain Janes besides.

    wink

  14. OK, wiseass.  Who lived on the 60,000 acre estate “Silverstone”?

  15. John Beresford Tipton

  16. Tannenburg...you missed the point I will re-iterate...MOST men take notice of a beauty with obvious physical attributes before noticing the plain Jane.  I concur that nastiness is found in all shapes and sizes but overlooked in the beauties longer.
