  1. Why not also sue under the law that was just passed by Congress about this kind of demonstration at funerals for the falllen soldiers?

  2. I will go the the Snyder Family’s website and send them an email - - - was waiting for someone to hit this bunch exactly where they wanted to hit the military families - a lawsuit. That is the whole reason they do this crap - hoping that some out-of-their-mind with grief family member will physically attack them so that they can sue them.
Read a background on this bunch, the Westboro Baptist Church is almost entirely Fred Phelps and his family members, 9 of his kids were forced to be lawyers after ole Freddy himself was barred(or is it disbarred?!?)from practicing in KS. Fred’s first lawsuit (which how they won boggles me) was against a fundraising candy company (we all know the school fundraisers) that Fred did not pay for candy his kids sold to keep the family afloat (not as a school fundraiser). From then on, it’s been lawsuit after lawsuit. Two of his sons (and his father) won’t have much to do with him at all. Accusations of child abuse and Fred’s been kicked out of Baptist Church or two [which also boggles my mind, since most Baptists are really quite religiously rigid].

I LOVE it - my two favorite barking moonbats [Phelps and Moore] are being hit EXACTLY where they got their starts - lawsuits. The delicious irony of the situation is not lost on me. Oh and by the way, wannabe fake Iraq war ‘vet’ Jessie McBeth is being charged with fraud, seems he actually believed his own garbage and filed a form/paper with the VA - and they are after him!!Nothing like being a STUPID barking moonbat.
Oh wait, is there any other kind

  3. Arch, if the law went into effect after the funeral, it cannot be used retroactively to sue.

I have to say that calling these guys “fundamentalists” just show again the ignorance of the media. There is nothing in the fundamentals of the Christian faith that these scum do not violate and defame.

After hearing the witch on H&C, I almost think that any minor children should be seen after by the state, and I do not say that lightly.

As they are a brood of vipers, and lawyers, too, it will be uphill to fight them and I’d expect a hail of countersuits against the Snyders. Maybe a well placed lightening strike would give us God’s editorial comment on them.

  4. You know given Phelps & Co’s anti-homosexual stance, anti-military stance and giving a really, really bad name to Baptist - you’d think a lawyer or two would clamor to be in on the (hopeful) legal lotto. It has boggled my mind why no one has taken this bunch of fruitcakes to court sooner.

In this liberal age - you’d think someone would love to skewer such ‘religious’ zealots in the court system.

However reading the bio with Phelps connection to the Dem party - perhaps even the dems and libs don’t want their skeletons to fall ‘out of the closet’ with this bunch.

  5. All you really need is a few Marines with baseball bats to “discourage” these protesters.

    Just “discourage” them, repeatedly.

  7. machinegun Yeah, how about 7.26 bulldogs that bark here and bite there?

The caliphate of hate cult must be stopped before a grieving family member or surviving brother/sister in arms snaps. Bet they wouldn’t do a day.

These cheesy cowards sleep protected by the country that our warriors give their lives for!

I had more respect for the VC and that didn’t stop me from...er...rehabilitating them.

  9. Is there anyway someone could donate money to the families legal bill yet? I mean it seems that fredd the freak has plenty so it may be time someone donated to help that family during the suit.

  10. Many of the adult members of the incestuous Phelps clan are lawyers; the organization’s primary source of income is from lawsuits filed through their law firm, Phelps-Chartered.

The way it generally works is, if you assault them during their grotesque displays or give them any excuse at all, they will sue.  Not you, the individual, but the municipality in which the incident happened, and that municipality’s law enforcement agencies for not providing adequate protection.

They have learned that organizations such as cities have much deeper pockets than private citizens, and are more likely to pay large settlements.  And, in a round-about way, that sort of action screws everyone who lives in that municipality, since taxpayer dollars go to pay legal settlements.
