  1. right, saw that in both papers this morning. They seem to run articles like that a lot over here. Not that I’d know as I only visited France once many yrs ago and then only for three days.

  2. I think it’s high time for the good old traditional English practice of breaking heads with stout sticks.

You find somebody in your house, you go get your buddies and your oaken yeoman staffs, you come back and wallop the shit out of them. Throw the bums, or their bodies, out in the street. Then throw them out of the country.

France is taking the mild way out with simply deporting their travelers and squatters.

  3. > The retired Dagenham Ford worker, who was forced to stay with friends, said:
    > ‘Police told me it looked like a civil matter.’

Then the police are either complete chuckle-heads, or English law on the matter of real-estate property rights is so utterly screwed up, that MP’s should be threatened with mass sudden-neck-stretching if they don’t sort this out in less than a week by changing laws.

Damn it, I really didn’t need more bizarro-world news like this after just watching the Canadian Parliamentary Channel (CPAC) tonight when I got home from work.  The leftist parties (Liberal/NDP/Bloc) all got together and managed to pass their motion to end further debate on a conservative private-member’s bill to scrap the long-arm registry.

The practical upshot is that the long-arm registry (a completely USELESS Multi-Billion dollar boondoggle that has solved NO crimes) continue its operation, and Canadian citizens continue to be treated like untrustworthy children.  I am seriously pissed off right now.

  4. AG - it must feel like you’re living in NJ. The one and only thing our latest governor won’t touch is gun control.

At least we don’t have that idiot firing pin imprinting crap like they do in NY. Another dingbat system that cost billions and ain’t worth a tinker’s dam.

  5. The reason this could not happen in my home state is all I have to do is use my 2nd amendment right combined with the Castle Doctrine and the only expense I have is to get new carpets.  Problem solved.
