3. Nope, gotta be Deutschland - now to figure out the base.  I’ll say Ramstein because it’s the only base we have in Germany that I can name.

4. Hehehehe. Yep, that is indeed beautiful Avanio AFB at the foot of the Alps in northern Italia. In fact, it is the only remaining US base in Europe that is south of the Alps. The squadron there came from Homestead AFB when it was closed and they were given F-16’s from Ramstein AFB in Germany to support NATO.

   Sorry, thats not quite correct.
   The Bledowska Desert is in Poland

   Its only some 32 square miles but it is a desert.
   If you didn’t know where the photo was taken you’d have a hard time
   figuring it out.
