I wish the skipper a speedy recovery.
I am so hopelessly techno-idiotic, it is a wonder that my husband lets me have my own computer (I think it is because he can’t explain letting the children have their own and not me). . .and he is asleep right now.
But here is a picture (you know the old ‘worth a thousand words’) to kick off Memorial Day Weekend. He served, is being honored, paid a stiff price, but made it home and his daughter is so at peace now - she sleeps in the presence of great men - safely.

Thanks for the link Wardmama to remind us what the holiday is all about. To all those served or serving, my thanks. And for those who never came back, not just my thanks but my promise to do what I can to keep this country the way it should be.
Get well soon Skipper.
