  1. Don’t get too worked up about this. It’s just one guy’s opinion.  While what he is saying has merit, by now ISIS has had so many volunteers from the West show up that Snowden’s influence is moot. And maybe some of those Westerners have read Tom Clancy novels, or been in the military, or even read Popular Mechanics ... the information about the capability of our spy gear has been out there a long time. Remember how Saddam flipped us the bird by switching to a private underground fiber network?

    No, the reason we don’t have detailed information on ISIS is because we don’t have humint. Human Intelligence. Spies like us. Soft sandals on the ground. And it’s never going to happen, especially in lands where the people don’t look like us, talk like us, and live in tiny villages where the gene pool is 2 drops deep. Any stranger there sticks out, male or female, and is an instant target.

    Besides, there is nothing ISIS is doing that requires instant communication. They can get by just fine by writing secret messages and hiding them in the melon truck going to the next village down the road.

  2. okay but ... what snowden did was still treason. wasn’t it? and look who got all that good stuff and was happy to share. the creeps at the trotsky-lenin press.and I really honestly believe that he and they have done great harm. hey ... i still HATE, in caps notice, daniel ellsbgerg. self serving egos both and both rotten to the core.
