1. I think Neil just showed why this is a liberal gun-control goal.

   These ‘straw purchases’ are choreographed by the liberal anti-gun crowd.

   Example: My parents were robbed while I was at college. It pissed me off mostly, not because they stole almost all of Mom’s costume jewelry, they also stole my Grandpa’s Sweet 16 shotgun!

   They ignored my other grandpa’s Lee Enfield from WW1. They ignored the Browning .22 bolt-action. (both of which are now in my possession. Though, I need a magazine for the Enfield. It used to have a 5-rd magazine.)

   No, they stole Grandpa’s skeet gun! Hard to find a 16-gauge shotgun anymore. The only gun that was worth something! (at the time)

   Did my parents report the theft? Yes, along with the theft of costume jewelry, some of Dad’s ham radio equipment, etc.

   So why make this a crime? Two reasons:

   1) straw purchases as described above,

   2) to register heretofore ‘unregistered’ weapons.
