2. Sad but true. Europeans helped (note! helped) to fuck up the continent with colonialism and slavery. 

   But the statute of limitations for that has expired.  Time they took responsibility for their own mess.

   P.S. Remember that us Europeans didn’t do such a swell job managing our own continent after the fall of Rome. And there was The Black Death.
