1. One of the funnier things to read on various “Fail Blogs” are the posts on the disastrous results when smart phones “auto correct” text message spellings, and totally screw up everything, usually by changing the message to something sexual.

   My phone is only a dumb one, not a smart phone, so I have no idea if these are real or not.

3. The smart genius at Dept of Ed are trying to stop cursive in school - just so the US can have millions of Rachel Jeantels - stupid and too ignorant to even know it. Yes, Drew the auto-corrects on the smart phones are a hoot. And can cause a lot of trouble.

   Reading is more than fundamental (another gem from the DoE) - it is the basis of all knowledge. And all the cutesy, easy-peasy crappola ways that the DoE has dumbed down the public school system - this was the most damaging.

   I disagree Chris - most teachers are ok - it is the petty BoE bureaucrats who do all the damage and are overpaid and useless.

   Little trivia factoid - McGuffy Readers used to be the bomb when it came to introductory reading education - my family had lots of the books - came to find out just recently - William McGuffy was an Ohioan.

   So we can produce a better lot of people than Charles Manson, Kenneth Taylor, John Holmes and of course Tracy Lords.
