My father fought the Nazis from British airfields. Married my English mom over there. I am a Canadian and British patrial. I spent many happy summer months in Devon as a kid in the 50’s and 60’s. Used to feel a strong loyalty to the UK. Upon retirement a few years ago, my wife and I bought a home in Devon. After 2 years, we left. Britain is British no more. It is a hodge-podge of indigenous socialists smothered by government-tit sucking immigrants with absolutely no loyalty to the UK, the Crown or to peace. order and good government. It has truly gone to the dogs. Pity. I am glad my father never lived to see this.
Interesting - glad that she said she would fight it. Maybe there is hope - just a damn shame people wait so long to wake up and go WTF.
rbm .... I first visited this country in the 70’s and was road manager and agent for American acts touring the music clubs here. Of course, my wife is a Brit, so I have been partial to the place. The country is beautiful beyond words, and as I don’t have to remind you, Devon is a place of great beauty. Not to mention that cream. Which I understand Cornwall also takes credit for. Anyway, I traveled thousands of miles crisscrossing this place from Portsmouth to Wales and Scotland too.
When we moved here (because we had to) in 2004, I was shocked by the difference from my times here in the years before. And I found speaking to folks here and listening to them and reading the papers, that Brits were losing their country bit by bit. And it’s grown worse since then.
