  1. Thanks - it is a shame - and as I’ve said many times since 2008 - WHAT is this dangerous and deciliter man going to do that FINALLY will bring someone with power AWAKE TO STOP HIM?

This particular situation is a disgrace - and such a tragedy for Mrs. Guerna & his son. I HOPE the VFW and/or some other military affiliated organization would keep this in the press and in front of the American public until those who are at fault are held accountable.

I however fear that the ONLY CHANGE that has occurred in America since 2008 is that We The People have no RIGHTS, no VOICE, no CHOICE.

RIP Jose Guerena and may those who killed him rot in hell.

  2. Stupid spell checker - deceitful and Mrs. Guerena.

Oh well, Thanks Drew for posting this. A true black moment in American history - should be right up there with lynchings - but we know - since it was ‘the gov’ who did this - it won’t be.

  3. I was wondering how to use that deciliter line. A dL is 100cc, 1/10 of a liter. That’s a pretty small drink of water, but perhaps more than many of us can swallow at once? Or we could use the 10 gallon hat metaphor, in which case our “gutsy” dL leader hardly dampens the brim, much less fills it. Somehow I keep coming back to the Post Turtle metaphor in my mind, and I don’t know yet how to work the dL angle on that one.

Wait, I’ve got it!! Wardmama, you inadvertently coined a great one! Obama is our “decileader” - he’s 1/10 of a real president! EXCELLENT!!!

Yes, this story needs to stay in the public awareness. Write the AZ statehouse and demand an unbiased investigation.

Remember Amadau Diallo? 41 shots in a dark doorway because he was reaching for his wallet? The cops in that shooting were exonerated, but became pariahs in the NYPD and not allowed to carry guns. All but one has left the force, and the last one sits on a table out on a little island in Brooklyn repairing power drills and soldering irons. OTOH, these “rubber gun” cops and the money paid them - “Kenny No Gun” here makes $104,000 - are a scandal in their own right. But they’ve lost their honor and the respect of fellow officers (yeah, big whoop, when they ought to be jailed).
