  1. I’m at the point where, with my next new job, I’ll say Frak The EPA and get an SUV!

  2. But Christie says he thinks AGW is real.
In that case, he’d better start building some Thorium reactors--because every other “solution” to Thermageddon is about taxing us back to the stone age.

BTW drew, you might want to stop over...just sayin.’ wink

  3. Pretty sure one of the first things Christie did was to get the nuke ball rolling again. Which naturally met with howls of protest and foot stamping. And now that we’ve had the Japan Thing, conventional nuke is deader than your average T-Rex. Ain’t never gonna happen.

I read up on the several kinds of Thorium reactor a couple years ago, and I think they are fantastic, even if they need a bit of plutonium or whatever to act as a seed to get the fires going. The only problem IIRC was developing a corrosion resistant housing, because the hot salt reaction (similar to the guts of a metal halide light bulb) tends to eat through parts.

Oh, and glad to be able to help out. I’ll have a counter post up in a couple minutes.

  4. Ever notice how to a reporter, someone pushing the “other side” is a “lobbyist” or a “group” and someone on their side is an “advocate”?
