  1. I’m at a loss here. I simply don’t know what to say on this. Well, I DO, but I’m trying to control my blood pressure.

  2. I would have to get a job. It would have to be very well-paid to pay more than the benefits.’

And that’s the whole thing in a nutshell. If the handouts are better than what you could get living on an entry-level to mid-level job, they won’t bother to work. Why should they? It’s a basic cost benefit analysis.

  3. -’Mrs Crompton went on: ‘If the kids need something I go and get it. I rarely go without things either. If I need something, like a new pair of shoes, then I’ll get it.’’-

I’m 53 and right now, finally we have reached the point that I can say that (well we had a few months at the end of his service that we were living ok - but we were building up our savings because we knew we’d need it). I have noticed I need new walking shoes - but I have a list of medical appointments I need to make - including a couple of dental - which I found out (once again) I got screwed with a crappy policy - so we are paying more than a co-pay. The good news is that if my hubby stays with the company he is with his next work term - we can get into their 401K and dental/vision plans (whoo-hoo, I’ve never, ever had vision coverage).

I’m sorry - one child is ok, two is a mistake - 10 - nope, sorry (if Mr Crompton is healthy enough to make kiddies - unless he is on disability (which I suspect these people would mention if it were true)) - he should be working. Cut the whinning and get a job or two and looking at a couple of their yobs (is that right Peiper?!?) they could at least do something on weekends or part time to help out.

Even I (whom most of my family think is a layabout loser) have worked and gone back to college a number of times (the working). Once even from home. But yes, it did not have benefits (I thought healthcare there is FREE) - so what bennies does this b*tch want?

I’m sure if we looked hard we’d find the same thing here except for two things - there would be no Mr. Freeloader and the yobs would have 10 different fathers. . .

  4. Wardmama the father probably is on what’s called “incapacity benefit” basically it’s a deadbeats charter. He likley says he has a bad back and as the doctors can’t disprove it they have to accept it. A few years back the government in the UK decided they would give people like this benefit stamps rather than cash. You should have heard the anguished screams from the Labour and Liberals. I just wonder how long the UK can afford “luxuries” like these deadbeats before the reality that Britain is broke sinks in. When Poland and other countries joined the EU hundreds of thousands of hard working Poles came to the UK and took the jobs these wasters refuse to do. When they finally wake up make me King I will sort these buggers out.

  7. And it seems that she does not have the time for housework.

The walls of her home are dirty and peeling and the floor is covered in videos and magazines.

    Hmmm. I have a solution:

their children Michael, 20, Robin, 19, Matthew, 17, Sarah, 16, Samantha, 14, Harry Andrew, 12, Alex, 11, Kristian, nine, Jesse Lee, seven, and Joshua, six

    Ten little indians…

Oh yes, I get a kick out of this:

Sadly, others do not always understand. ‘Every time I walk down the street, people shout “scroungers”,’ said Mrs Crompton.

Now you don’t even have to go outside. You can sit at your ‘scrounger’ computer and read it on BMEWS.

    cussing scroungers!
