2. In all those words she omitted the unpublicized motto of every emergency service:
   “When seconds count—we’re just minutes away”.  We have to return to the golden days of yesteryear when everyone had primary responsibility for themselves and their family; secondary for their neighbors and community; and common sense was a lot more common.

   There are a lot of tools that can be weapons - as is or with modifications. A pipe reamer is not a knife, a nail gun is not a firearm - the list is limited only by imagination.
