  1. What’s wrong with Steel?

  2. I miss them both and wish them the fastest recoveries ever.

OCM:  I hope your surgery ends the pain for you forever.  Recovery won’t be fun, but I sure have my fingers crossed it will all be worth it.

Steel:  Happy Birthday, Angel.  Put on a little pointy hat and blow one of those roll-up things and maybe you’ll feel better.  Maybe your cool Mom will bake you a cake with “I LOVE YOU” on it.  If I had your address, I’d send you a belly-dancer.  That would be me, of course.

  4. I had to promise Steel I wouldn’t divulge the details of the problem. You’ll have to ask him.

OCM, I’m glad it’s just a “decompression” too. I had a spinal fusion on my 6th cervical vertebrae (base of the neck) in 1985 and I almost didn’t make it out of surgery. It took them two hours to bring me out after the operation. When I came to, I had three nurses looking me in face and looking very desperate and worried. It took six months to heal up after the surgery (they chip a piece of bone off of your pelvis and use that to “fuse” the vertebrae together after removing the disc). Your sister better keep me updated. If you go and die, I promise I’ll drive out there and kick your ever-loving ass, buddy. You have been warned!

    cool smile

  5. OCM,

If I come out and belly-dance for you, will I have to wear cherries instead of my usual gypsy garb.  You could bite the cherries off.

My mom just had that back surgery where they stick a big needle into the vertebra and stuff in a balloon and fill it with cement.  It’s like magic. Instant recovery.  I don’t know what ‘decompression’ is, but I hope it fixes whatever you have.

Allan, my ex had exactly what you had - THREE different times.  Once, he used donor bone, the second, his own bone (hip) and the third, they fused the 5th and 6th vertebra with metal spikes.  With each event, his arms and hands went numb, and after surgery, upon waking up, he could feel tingling in his fingers.  He was back doing surgery in two days.

Cat… I hope you’re back to doing whatever it is you do in two days… nibbling the fruit of your region?

  6. My brother had back surgery...and seems to be okay after all these years. I hope yours goes even better than it is expected to, no one should have to go through the pain leading up to it, durring, or afterwards.

Hope Steel is up and about in no time at all as well.

  9. OCM & Steel,
here’s an idea!  The first of you to fully recover gets the same prize as guessing the date for the 500,000th visit.  Better make sure that you’re fully recovered.......I think that crew could do some serious damage wink
    BUT WHAT FUN !!!

Get well & get back here guys
