  1. I thought he was from someplace in South Carolina? (before I knew who he was I read one of his books, course he wouldn’t know the truth if it bit him in the ass).

I know a lot of guys like that at the backwater redneck high school I attended. Most couldn’t spell chess club let alone us have one. Hell I was 6’4” 270lbs at graduation myself (course everybody wanted me on their football team and I wanted to play basketball).

Not one of these guys turned into the warped, mass of hatred he has become (okay a couple have done prison time). He may be all the things you say he is, but there’s more happening than just a shitty childhood.

  3. I think everyone had someone like this in high school.

The one we had committed suicide in his 20’s.

  4. What’s Norm of Cheers got to do with this post?  I do not own a TV and never watched Cheers.

I still do not get it.

    Anybody have any idea?

  5. You know, there’s a forum that the Flint newspaper keeps. You might wish to post a link there…

  6. Hey! You’re describing me. I was the clumsy geek to never got picked for anything. Then again, I DID spend 2 years at the Chicago Academy for the Arts as a voice major, and I DID get a varsity letter in track from the h.s. I graduated from.
    nevermind. CUBS WIN!!! HOOOLY COW!
