There is one Iron Law of Social Welfare Programs:
“Those most in need get the least.” The corollary is obvious in the above story.
This isn’t over. Look forward to more with the hurricane relief for the Gulf states, particularly Louisisna. Those boys and girls really know how to work the system.
Hmmm, I wonder if I can get some benefit of this in Ohio. It did rain like hell here for a couple of days and I was flooded with coverage of New Orleans.
Bureaucrats in the federal government only know how to spend and waste money. There is no accountability. I’d start looking really closely at those banks, too. Those are more bright folks and know all about getting ‘hold of other people’s money.
If $870,000 is considered a small business loan, I have to reconsider how I classify
my trade. I think it just went from small to minute.
I was working for a small company here in the Seattle area doing training for the Navy and Marines in 2000 - 2001. We had so much work lined up that we wondered where we would get the staff we’d need. Then, after 9/11, funds for training dried up as they got diverted into bombs and bullets.
So, I wonder if my former employer can show at least as direct a link to damages from 9/11 as all these donut guys? Bet he could!
Where’s the phone....?
This reminds me of the man who came to clean my chimney last fall - he said my fireplace did not pass inspection due to new post 9/11 regulations.........WTF does cleaning my fireplace chimney have to do with 9/11???????? I totally ignored him & proceeded to have fires in my fireplace all last winter.................I have the company coming Wednesday to sweep the chimney & requested that this man not be the one who comes to clean it - we shall see what happens Wednesday.........
DOT: Seriously, I’d use another firm!
