How Many Were Democrats?

  1. If any of them were Republicans, the MSM would be trumpeting that, in the usual off-key gaseous blast.

The rule of thumb is, if party affiliation is not mentioned, the specimens in question are Democrats (or worse).

What we have here, most likely, is a lot of leftist nits who were interdicted before they could become such lice as Kerry or Dean.

  2. The differences, old chap, are likely only to be functional at best and cosmetic at worst.... wink

  3. Sorry, but Monmouth County has been run by Republicans for a long time now.  poiticsnj.com reports:

Merla, Coughlin, O’Grady, Iadanza, Broderick, Hyer, Townsend and McCurnin are Republicans; Zambrano, DeLisa and Hamilton are Democrats.

    8 Republicans and 3 Democrats.

You owe me a dollar.  Or a donut.  Your pick.

  4. The donut is on the way.  Really.  It’s in the amil.  Trust me!

Really, growler, thanks for finding that.  Surprised? I am not.  It IS after all, New Jersey.

    Disappointed? Yes!

  5. It took me a while.  None of the newspaper stories I saw gave their party affiliation.

NJ is a very, very, very strange place indeed.

  6. Keep the donut on a technicality, Vilmar, and send him the hole for effort.  Most of these northeastern Republicans would make damn good Democrats almost anywhere else.  Christie Todd Whitman, for instance.  tongue laugh

  7. Bi-partisan crooks. At least there are some things that the parties can agree upon.
